Choosing a Sump Pump

There are two types of sump pump installations: a pedestal sump pump and a submersible sump pump. They both offer different benefits and challenges, but our team can help you decide on the best one for you.

Pedestal Sump Pump

A pedestal sump pump is easy to maintain because it’s installed on a pedestal above the sump pit. However, this setup puts it more out in the open.

Submersible Sump Pump

A submersible sump pump is installed inside the sump pit and sealed to protect it from electrical short circuits. While this setup is more protected, it makes it more difficult to access for maintenance

Most sump pumps don’t demand much maintenance, but they do need to be inspected and tested regularly — at least annually. This simple test can help us address any issues before they occur, allowing you to rest easy for another year. Plus, if we find anything during our tests, we’ll get to work implementing an affordable solution for sump pump repairs.
